MediStreams, a leading healthcare payment and remittance automation solutions provider, closed out a record 2024, achieving significant milestones in product innovation, client growth, and strategic partnerships.

“For MediStreams, 2024 represented a banner year,” said Jim Coyle, CEO of MediStreams. “As the healthcare market continues to struggle with manual workflows and staff shortages, leaders are looking for new ways to create extreme efficiencies across the entire revenue cycle. That’s where MediStreams comes in, with our advanced healthcare payment and remittance automation solutions. Our innovative approach to technology, customer-first culture, and decades of healthcare payments experience was the answer for many of the nation’s largest and more forward-thinking organizations in 2024.”

Record Growth in Clients and Partnerships

More healthcare systems and providers turned to MediStreams this year than ever before, and existing MediStreams’ clients expanded their use of MediStreams solutions that simplify the payments lifecycle by automating high-volume, manual processes, including:

  • Paper-to-digital conversion: Automates the capture and processing of paper remittances, patient payments, and correspondence into electronic formats
  • Advanced reconciliation: Matches payments accurately and enables seamless posting and faster resolution of highlighted discrepancies
  • Secure Lockbox processing: Automates the collection, electronic conversion, and rapid processing of payments and correspondence into an easy-to-use portal.

Today, MediStreams’ rapidly growing base of clients now includes a wide range of health systems, ambulatory practices, and other healthcare groups, including:

  • 20+ health systems with over $1B of Net Patient Revenue;
  • Hundreds of physician practices across a wide variety of specialties;
  • Several of the nation’s largest durable medical equipment providers (DMEs); and
  • Multiple leading dental service organizations (DSOs) and practices, physical therapy practices, and pharmacy clients.

In addition, MediStreams added several new partnerships to its growing ecosystem of banks, clearinghouses, revenue cycle management (RCM) vendors, practice management systems, and consulting groups. These organizations recognize the value MediStreams brings to their clients, further advancing their own offerings and market share.

During this year of growth, MediStreams continued to deliver exceptional client service with its responsive, customer-first approach. The company achieved a remarkable 99% client retention rate and, for the second year in a row, reported a leading Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 71, considered “excellent” on the standardized scale of –100 to 100. Clients continue to trust MediStreams' decades of experience in healthcare payments to navigate the industry’s complex challenges and regulations.

New Product and Technology

On the technology front, MediStreams released the industry’s first and only rapid EOB Conversion solution, which helped healthcare organizations of all types navigate the Change Healthcare crisis that disrupted payment processing for thousands of healthcare providers. The impact was profound, with one large hospital successfully posting $100 million in backlogged accounts receivable within a week using the solution.

One director of revenue cycle management commented, “The automation MediStreams provided was exactly what we needed during this extraordinary time. MediStreams was able to do what our other revenue cycle partners could not: keep our cash flowing so we could focus on patient care without worrying about manual posting.”

Additionally, MediStreams continued its investment in artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solutions to enhance its automation capabilities further, laying the groundwork for significant product advancements in 2025.

To support its rapid growth, MediStreams expanded its team with key leadership hires and additional subject matter experts:
