Airbyte, the leading open-source data movement platform, today announced additions to its leadership team with the appointments of Ashwini Gillen as head of sales and Mario Moscatiello as head of growth. These new roles play a pivotal part in strengthening Airbyte's go-to-market strategy and support the company’s growth trajectory building on its 4x increase in revenues last year.

Gillen brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience at top technology companies, including Neo4j, Twilio, Akamai Technologies, and IBM. Most recently, she served as head of sales for the western region at Neo4j, driving revenue growth for the graph database business. At Twilio, she was a top performer leading sales in Asia and key segments of the U.S. market. Gillen brings proven expertise in sales initiatives, team building, and customer success to her new role leading Airbyte’s sales operations and global growth efforts.

Moscatiello brings extensive experience in growth strategy, marketing, and scaling operations at high-growth startups and tech companies. Since 2020, he has served as an advisor to Airbyte, providing strategic guidance to support the company’s early expansion and market positioning.

In the past decade, he has served in roles as head of growth and advisor for a number of technology startups. As a principal at Flex Capital, he was also an investor in Airbyte along with other companies such as AngelList, Strapi, Vercel, and as well as a go-to-market advisor for a number of the Flex portfolio companies.

The company now offers more than 550 data connectors, including eight designed for vector databases supporting AI workloads, and is on track to surpass 1,000 connectors by the end of 2025.
